Leo gets on very well with all other pets and people (in his own mind he is indisputably the leader of the group). He will do everything in his power to protect and take care of all his “subjects”. Leo pets are particularly gentle with children.

Leo the Lion represents the fifth sign of the Zodiac (23 July - 22 August).

According to Greek myth, Leo was the lion which Hercules killed for the first of his twelve labors (Leo means “lion” in Greek).

Distinctly shaped liked the lion from which it takes its name, this Zodiacal constellation contains the well-known blue dwarf star Regulus in addition to a number of spiral galaxies.

Regulus, the bright star found at the bottom of the "sickle shape", was named by the famous astronomer Copernicus.

Along with Aries and Sagittarius, Leo is an action orientated Fire sign.
