Aries are not the most expressive of pets when it comes to showing their feelings. This can sometimes frustrate anxious and sensitive Cancer.

If you have more than one pet, Aries will most likely become the leader – incidentally, as mentioned above, an Aries pet may also become the leader of your entire household!

Both male and female Aries pets tend to be aggressive and energetic. By having your pet neutered or spayed at an early age you will help to quell unpleasant behavior like snapping, barking loudly or constant meowing.

Sometimes hyperactive, Aries pets need plenty of vigorous exercise. Aries dogs will love to go jogging with their owners, while Aries cats are athletic and need plenty of space to run around.

To stop them becoming bored, keep Aries busy at all times. Give your pet lots of toys and creative or competitive games to play.

Don't punish an Aries pet unless you have good reason to do so. It is possible (though unlikely) that they will retaliate.

Aries the Ram represents the first sign of the Zodiac (21 March - 20 April).

The ram with the Golden Fleece was sent by Hermes to save two royal children, Phryxus and Hellé, from being sacrificed by their stepmother, Ino. The ram was subsequently sacrificed to Zeus. The Golden Fleece was then preserved and guarded by a dragon. Jason and the Argonauts seized back the fleece in one of the most famous tales from Greek mythology.

Aries is one of the least prominent of all the zodiacal constellations. It contains two stars above third magnitude, Hamal and Sheratan, distancing only six light years between them.

Along with Leo and Sagittarius, Aries is an action orientated Fire sign.
